Book donation from Christ the Saviour Parish, Pennsylvania, USA

„And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that should be written.” (John 21, 25)

On the 20th of September 2025, our community in Böblingen received another parcel of English orthodox literature from the Christ the Saviour Parish, from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA.

This is the second time they offer us valuable literature, the last parcel we received from them on the 29th of May 2025.

We hope that these books will be useful to the two persons of American origin who wish to receive the Orthodoxy in our parish, to the other American guests who visit us regularly, but also to Romanians who want access to Orthodox literature in English.

In addition to literature of general interest, this time we also received a prayer book useful for the priest to perform services and prayers in English. This will allow the priest to better serve the needs of the American members of our community

As before, the one who mediated this gesture was Jason, an Orthodox American, who was a guest in our parish for 6 months in 2024. With the help of Daniel, we organized the transfer of the package to Germany. We express our gratitude to them, and to the Christ the Saviour Parish for their very generous gift and for their prayers.

On 20.09.2025, we presented these books in the church after the sermon, on a feast day. We celebrated 6 years since the founding of our parish, and the Liturgy was celebrated by his Excellence Sofian of Brasov, together with several other priests and deacons.
